Scottish photographic waste recovery at Livingston

Posted on 28th August, 2008

WasteCare’s Scottish facility, based at Livingston, has become of Britain’s last remaining photographic waste treatment centres.

With the digitalisation of photography and radiography, demand for traditional silver recovery has declined dramatically. In spite of this trend, WasteCare has succeeded in winning work from Europe, which – combined with a growing UK market share – has enabled it to invest in new plant to increase efficiency and reduce costs. This particular cloud does indeed have a silver lining.
