Boost for Toner Cartridge recycling

Posted on 4th September, 2017

WasteCare is pleased to announce a formal working partnership with ITP Group to provide an outlet for recycling empty ink and toner printer cartridges, on behalf of all our clients.

With rebates paid for certain types of cartridges this agreement further supports our aim of maximising recycling and recovery value for all types of hazardous and difficult waste.

Cartridges

Cartridge relationship has been agreed

ITP have collected and recycled many millions of empty cartridges since they pioneered the market back in 1992.  All collected cartridges are cleaned, bulked and transported to their facility in Reading, Berkshire where they are sorted and processed.  The vast majority of the items go to back to the original manufacturer or other re-manufacturers all around the world where they are brought to life again and resold as new.

Solutions

Philip Westerman, the Managing Director of ITP Group said “as one of the Europe’s largest cartridge recycling companies, we are delighted to have formalised our relationship with WasteCare and be able to offer these valuable services, through WasteCare, to their customers as part of their overall solutions to businesses”.

This additional service allows our clients to demonstrate the further care they are taking to prevent their “waste” going to landfill.  Even the cartridges that are damaged can be processed and the plastics reused.
