CliniCare electrostatic decontamination treatment for Bloomcare Care Homes

Bloomcare has always put the welfare of their residents, staff and visitors at the forefront of all they do. Following successful trials they have recently contracted CliniCare to ensure their Bloomcare Homes are regularly decontaminated and safe from viruses and bacteria. Using an HSE approved biocide and unique electrostatic misting equipment, the CliniCare service dispenses sufficient levels of biocide to thoroughly decontaminate bedrooms, welfare areas and workspaces safely. Treated areas are ready for reoccupation within minutes of treatment.
The need for care
Based in the Northwest, for the past decade Bloomcare has been dedicated to helping people living with dementia, mental health, alcohol and drug rehabilitation. Bloomcares mission is to develop quality environments offering high standards of care, putting their resident’s safety and comfort at the heart of everything they do.
As of December 2019, Coronavirus has taken grip across the world, affecting virtually every country. It has never been more important to ensure safe and clean-living environments. Bloomcare opted to trial our electrostatic solution in a pro-active attempt to keep harmful bacteria and viruses at bay.
Bloomcare and CliniCare's combined approach
With nine locations, three of which are care villages, all comprising of 4 units and an admin block with residence and staff inside, the decontamination process had to be done quickly and efficiently. Each home comprises of 2 wings, with the help of the carers, the people inside were transferred to one wing whilst the team of three CliniCare personnel thoroughly decontaminated the other.
The electrostatic misting device disperses negatively charged micro droplets, which not only get attracted to surfaces using electrostatic energy, but due to the size of the micro droplets it rapidly dries. Allowing inhabitants to safely enter the decontaminated area 10 minutes after treatment, making it the perfect solution considering the nature of the task’s complexities.
