What is Blancco Sanitisation software?
Blancco is a National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) certified software for data erasure from all
drives. The software is certified, approved, and recommended by 18 national international governing bodies to ensure the highest level of compliance.
The software uses sophisticated overwriting patterns to ensure all traces of data are erased, including data stored in remote areas of the hard drive.
How do you ensure the traceability of my IT assets?
Each collection of secure assets is assigned a unique job number to ensure full traceability between the collection depot, driver, asset disposal team, and the customer.
What is the secure data erasure process?
Secure erasure is the process in which all data stored on solid-state drives (SSDs), hard drives, and USBs is destroyed.
The hard storage devices will then be thoroughly checked for any remnants or irregularities following data overwriting to guarantee the total removal of all data.
Do you destroy hard drives?
Upon a request for physical destruction, our team of specialist, security-vetted staff will proceed to ensure your hardware is 100% secured with a controlled physical destruction process. This process renders the data storage unusable to hackers or opportunists.
WEEE PRODUCER COMPLIANCE
You may need to join a WEEE Producer Compliance Scheme
If you import or place household electrical equipment onto the UK market, you may need to register as an EEE producer and enrol with a Producer Compliance Scheme.
- If you place more than 5 tonnes of EEE on the UK market in a compliance year, you’re a large producer and must register with a producer compliance scheme
- As one of the largest collectors and recyclers of WEEE in the UK, Wastecare Compliance can meet a large proportion of our member’s obligations from the WEEE material we process
