Environment Agency – AATF Approval Suspension Lifted

We are pleased to confirm, the EA have lifted the suspension on our Normanton AATF, following a full review of collection and treatment data provided by the company. No further action is required, and no customer was affected at any point during the review.
We understand that the issue arose following the EA’s decision to replace weight protocols for WEEE categories 2-10, for actual weights. Our systems have proven to be robust and no discrepancies were found. Peter Hunt, chairman of the Wastecare Group commented:“I do feel AATF suspension, and all that implies, was a disproportionate response to what was a reporting reconciliation exercise. However, I am grateful for the speed with which the EA officer involved, along with my colleagues, worked together to resolve this matter.”
