WasteCare Christmas

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers and suppliers a happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.

Against the cloudy backdrop of recession, the waste management industry has been making slow but noticeable progress over the past 12 months. As well as showing signs of recovery, the industry is also channelling many more waste streams towards recycling and reuse.

WasteCare has experienced these developments first hand, constantly staying ahead of the curve and benefiting from the changes. Some of the highlights from 2013 include:

January – WasteCare Group is PAS141 and ADISA certified ensuring all electrical equipment passing through the company does so in a secure manner and is prepared for reuse in an ethical and sustainable way.
February – WasteCare named as preferred supplier for NHS CPC North of England.
April – Peter Hunt, MD of WasteCare interviewed by Radio 5 live regarding the companies fight against illegal vegetable oil theft.
May – Presents winners of the zero waste initiative with their awards
June – holding 2 key industry conferences addressing the new WEEE compliance regulations
July – After a number of years successfully operating the contract, WasteCare extends its contract with Devon County Council
August – WasteCare’s AATF develops and installs state of the art asset tracking system to ensure the security of all IT equipment passing through the site
September – Routemaster bus taken to RWM to promote WasteCare’s recycling efforts.
October – Completed 1st phase of rolling out 36 new artics to complement the fleet
November – Launched ‘5S’ quality production systems at Normanton AATF.

We look forward to sharing our new improvements with you in 2014 and working alongside all our customers to ensure the best possible service is provided wherever possible.
