Posted on 1st September, 2014

More than 200 speakers have been confirmed for the Resource Waste Management (RWM) show in Birmingham this year, including Secretary of State Eric Pickles and former Marks & Spencer executive chairman Sir Stuart Rose.

Eric PicklesNow in its 47th year, the three-day event at the NEC will play host to more than 750 exhibitors displaying the latest industry products and services from 16th to 18th September 2014.

Organised in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), and supported by the Environmental Services Association (ESA), more than 13,000 visitors are expected to attend the show this year – including council officers, waste contractors and consultants.

Meanwhile, the show will make a transition to Halls 4 and 5 of the NEC in order to provide ease of access and allow visitors easier navigation of the exhibits. The halls are the largest exhibition rooms in the UK.

Communities secretary and MP for Brentwood and Ongar Eric Pickles, is also due to speak on the morning of September 17th in the Local Authority Theatre, where he is expected to deliver his thoughts on TEEP, waste collection frequencies and how councils can meet ambitious EU recycling targets.

The show will also see hundreds of exhibitors descend on the NEC from across the UK, including some familiar faces. WasteCare will be in Hall 4 at Stand 4G30-H31.
