Coca Cola opt for reuse

Posted on 6th November, 2012

Over the past 2 years, PackCare has been sub-contracted by Viridor to collect and recycle Coca Cola’s packaging waste which includes a large amount IBCs and drums from nationwide sites. This year the contract went to tender and after our successful partnership, WasteCare were firm favourites to continue the work and were successful in the tender process. This was in no small part down to the virtuous loop our container reconditioning service offers. The PackCare service provided by the WasteCare Group ensures that all containers are put through a chemical wash process and prepared for reuse. This process ensures containers can be bought at considerably lower prices in the future whilst promoting reuse in accordance with the Waste Hierarchy Regulations.

The scope of the work was also extended through the use of LogiCare (WasteCare Group’s logistics facility) who will now provide clean haulage for cans and bottles.
