Covering miles for charity

Posted on 1st July, 2013

Usually when we refer to miles covered we are talking about our 200 strong collection fleet, however, on this occasion we are recognising a number of individuals who have gone the extra mile for a good cause.

200 miles has recently been covered between three WasteCare employees by foot and pedal power alone. Matt Stoneman has completed his first half ironman competition in Exmoor, Danny Seal completed the Calderdale Way trail through the Pennines and Joanne Cahill completed the Marie Curie Cancer Care Caledonian Etape. Furthermore, Joanne finished her 81 mile bike race in 4 hours and 29 minutes, finishing 22nd out of the 129 women in her category.
