Sita is the third company recently to highlight the issue of fraudulent emails. Viridor issued a warning at the end of last year.

The fraudsters send out an email purporting to be from a legitimate source offering to buy or sell recyclate at apparently highly attractive prices. The emails often have a zipped file attached which contains a worm or bug, potentially creating havoc or giving the intruder the chance to interrogate the recipient’s computer.

Advice, be on your guard and report any dubious emails to the police or the company being imitated.
