WEEE banks have proved a popular choice for increasing B2C WEEE collections with both recyclers and councils throughout the country. During the past 5 years, WasteCare has also used these banks to optimise electrical collections, placing banks in different locations and measuring the collection volumes.

In the most recent of these initiatives, 4 WEEE collection banks have been placed in Exeter. These banks are positioned on supermarket sites and also at public recycling points.

The hope is that the collection data collected from these initiatives can soon give us a clearer picture of the most effective methods of recycling B2C WEEE.
