The Silver Lady is making her inaugural outing as WasteCare’s ambassador for recycling and reuse at this week’s RWM exhibition.  To make sure she does as she preaches the 1961 Routemaster is now fuelled on 100% bio-fuel, generously supplied by Olleco. The bio-fuel is refined from used vegetable oils and chicken fat, collected by WasteCare from major retailers and restaurants throughout the country. Richard Allsopp, Head of Business Development at Olleco explained, “we are delighted to help fuel WasteCare’s recycling bus this year. Olleco are the largest refiners in the UK of exclusively uco. Our high quality fuel is supplied to refineries for blending to make bio-diesel as well as directly for use in commercial vehicles.”

It is a little rude to mention a ladies age, but lets us say, despite her mature years she is looking well and sounding well running on fuel made entirely from waste.
