The unfortunate demise of the CK Polymer business in Lincolnshire business a few weeks ago has enabled us to accelerate our plans at Avonmouth.

We bought two recycling lines for the granulation and cleaning of high density polyethylene and polypropylene plastics. With a capacity of over 5 tonnes an hour we will be able to handle most types of industrial plastic packaging, complementing the existing thermal treatment operation for steel packaging. The plant should be operational by the end of the year.

We have also started on our plans for improving productivity at Avonmouth, the first phase of which should be complete before the end of the year
