TrolleyCare trial successfully installed at Asda supermarket

Posted on 30th July, 2020

TrolleyCare is the latest service to be offered by WasteCare in response to health and safety issues brought to light by the recent Coronavirus pandemic.

Utilising the same electrostatic misting technology used to decontaminate workspaces and vehicles, the TrolleyCare machine also kills 99.99% of all known bacteria and viruses. The electrostatically charged micro droplets of HSE approved biocide cover the entire surface area of the trolley, ensuring a consistent and thorough trolley sterilisation.

Asda have been the first UK supermarket to trial this latest innovation, leading the way for the rest of the industry and showing their dedication to customer safety through the provision of value added services, and an improved shopping experience.

Installed at Asda’s Morley store, customers can simply walk to the entrance and choose a clean trolley, with the TrolleyCare machine situated at the front of the store. Due to the size of the decontaminating droplets, the trolley instantly dries, resulting in no customers having to wait for clean trollies.

Initial feedback has been really encouraging, with both shoppers and colleagues commenting on the new machine – below is a selection of our favourite social comments.
