WasteCare launches training academy

Posted on 9th May, 2018

WasteCare has always been committed to investing in quality skills training. With now over 500 employees operating across 16 sites around the country, the senior management team unanimously agreed it was high time we launched our own training academy.

trainingEntitled The WasteCare Academy, the aim is to develop experienced colleagues within the business to join a team of qualified trainers to give vocational training to their colleagues. The Principal of the Academy is our very own Dave Reynolds, who used to provide technical training to his colleagues in Veolia.

The first internal driver CPC course is to start next week and bookings are already being made for future courses. We plan to commence the ADR courses by the end of June.

In the next two weeks we will be writing to everyone in the Group setting out the full range of courses and the training timetable. Initially we will be using outside training providers to supplement our own internal team.

Eventually we plan to also offer training to our customers as well as our friends within the waste management sector.

Full details of the Academy will be available at www.Wastecare.co.uk/Academy from the end of this month.
