We are delighted to announce the appointment of David Lusher, who joins us as Group Chief Executive. Following 34 years of growth and development, the WasteCare Group’s Board of Directors believe this is an appropriate time to strengthen the management team.
David joined Caird in 1990 becoming a director at the age of 29. Following a series of acquisitions he became a main board director of Veolia Environmental Services, responsible for industrial markets, including hazardous waste and industrial services divisions, together with QHSE and business development for their entire UK business.
At WasteCare, David will have overall responsibility for all operations, logistics and administration, as well as heading a strategic review of the business. David’s focus will be on service quality, regulatory compliance and our zero waste initiatives.
Commenting on David’s appointment, Peter Hunt, WasteCare’s founder, said: “I have known David for over 10 years and have great respect for his experience and knowledge of the recycling sector. As the business continues to grow his obvious management skills and innate wisdom will be fully utilised in the months and years ahead.”
Peter Hunt, founder of the company, will also be taking a new role as Executive Chairman responsible for sales and marketing.
