Since its early beginnings in 1980, the WasteCare Group (formally Silver Lining Industries Ltd) has been focused on maximising recycling and minimising waste. Initially specialising in recovering Silver from photographic, printing and x-ray waste the business helped customers reduce landfill and eliminate the disposal of hazardous and difficult waste. Although the environmental landscape has changed dramatically since these humble beginnings, WasteCare’s goal of reducing waste has never changed.

With this in mind, WasteCare felt the LetsRecycles Zero Waste Awards were a perfect fit with the company ethos and ambitions.

There are 4 awards; gold, silver, bronze and highly commended that are all based around the waste hierarchy. The awards are open to anyone who produces or processes waste from the UK or abroad. To enter, simply submit a 1,500 word document detailing your company’s accomplishments according to the entry criteria along with supporting material by the 1st March 2013.
